Description

Palmitoleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid that, when supplemented in Escherichia coli, integrates into membrane lipids, thereby enhancing membrane fluidity, promoting tolerance to liposoluble compounds such as curcumin, and increasing its production, particularly when combined with the heterologous expression of mgs [349].
